Im not sure what it is, im going to try to get to the vet, but i would like to try to figure out what it is, and if it is serious.
She has also lost about half her weight in about 2 months, she used to be very obese like her sister (she lives with her sister), but now she is much smaller, shes not skinny, but much smaller than before
She is also drinking an excessive amount of water, altho her cagemate is drinking alot aswell

Answers:
it is probely an infection. what type of bedding are you using?? wood chips are generelly dangerous even aspen it can cause problems in your hamster. if u are using wood chips change it immediatley! does your hamster have any of these symtoms??* Increase drinking and urination
* Fur loss most noticeable on the belly and on the inside of the hind legs but also seen on the back, around the ears, and in other places
* General thinning of fur
* Decreased activity associated with shift to Aspen from another bedding go to this website for further details http://www.geocities.com/calhamassoc/asp...
sorry, but what kind of animal is it?
EDIT: oh ok, well im not quit sure, but you should take her to the vet if you are worried or think shes sick.
What is "she"?
Take her to the vets!!
ok, i answered you question yesterday, and again i say...
your hamster most likely has an infection in the lower intestines or sexual organs.
this can also cause swelling of the lower intestines, constipation, diarhia, and bloody stool (poop).
if she is having a problem pooping, it is probrably because some of the poop has also dried up just inside her anus, and that combined with swelling from an infection is a bad mix.
there is a medication called wet tail that you can buy at pet stores. since i have raised over 1,000 hamsters, i have played around with the medication a little bit, and discovered other things it can treat besides wet tail. other infections in the body can be treated along with diahria, using this medication.
administer it in the correct dosage, and in about a week the problem should be gone.
also, dip her but in a shallow dish of hydrogen peroxide. if it fizzes, then there is deffinantly an infection going on. this should help to knock the infection out along with wet tail by doing it every day for a week.
however, if you are one of the judgemental people who thinks everyone on this site is an unqualified stranger, just take her too the vet and ignore my advice. however, a trip to the vet will help her.
Hope this helps.
