Um IS IT BAD CHANGING THE HAMSTER BEDDINGS?

lets say i want to give another bedding a try to see if it likes it or another one and so on ..IS THAT BAD?
Answers:
If you want to see if your hamster prefers one bedding over another just put a bit of the new beding in his cage. See what bedding it carries into its house or where it sleeps.
Mine loved shredded newspaper.
no, but i don't think it will have a preference
Try cedar shavings. I don't think they are picky.
DO NOT try cedar shavings! They are dangerous to hamsters and can affect their respiratory systems and cause irritation to their skin causing loss of fur. Do not use pine shavings either. Carefresh is the best.
My mouse "Lucky" loves Carefresh Bedding. They sell it at pet stores or perhaps online. Its a very soft bedding unlike a woodchip. It keeps him warm and reduces stinkyness. But no its not really a bad idea to change bedding. Sometimes they like a change to but Carefresh is really nice.
it doesnt matter...but he will prolly kick the bedding out but it doesnt mean he dont like it.i advise cedar bedding because it helps block the odor in his cage
as long as he is not allergic. usually hamsters and gerbils are allergic to pine and cedar beddings.
good luck!
Well it depends on what kind ou are using! If you are switching to cedar or pine then thats bad! But if you switch to carefresh or aspen then thats good! Carefesh is the BEST bedding you can get so i would not use any other kind!
Cedar and pine bedding are a no no! They can cause respiratory problems and hamsters have horrible allergic reactions to them. Carefresh is good bedding, so are aspen wood shavings.
Changing the bedding is fine. Just make sure that you don't change the different types everyday. Also make sure your hamster likes the new bedding, if he doesn't change it back to the old one so he feels safe.
No, that's fine. I wouldn't mind if I were the hamster!
no use super shavin's it's the best I've found sold at petsmart
