i heard that you should feed a guinea pig plain pellets but what brand is best?
Answers:
Kaytee Brand from petco is usually the best brand for all small animals. I have included a link so you may see the product.

Try Kaytee pellets. I trust them as I feed the rabbit variety to my rabbits and they love them. I'm sure the guinea pig variety is good too.
Oxbow Pellets are good. Their hay is good too, and guinea pigs need a good supply. Check the "Cavy Cuisine" or "Cavy Performance" under the Fortified Feeds section. Visit: http://www.oxbowhay.com
Give it the kind that has the pellets and the vegetables.Guinea pigs love veggies. So yea.
Sleek and Sassy is a very good feed for guinea pigs, but the most important thing to remember when choosing a quality feed is no more than 2.5 % fat and at least 18% protein. It should be made from Alfalfa, and stay away from the kind that have seeds and dried veggies and fruits in it. Oxbow is a decent food, but I highly recommend Sleek and Sassy.
Oxbow,that's the best!

Oxbow is great. Go to their website and look for a store near you. If there isn't one, you can order online. KM's hayloft is another excellent pellet, you can order from her online. http://kmshayloft.com/
If you MUST get other brands, I suggest Mazuri or Kaytee's.

Great Job looking into what is best for your pig!!
The brand food that his made for guinea pigs.
Oxbow
the animal planets fortified guinea pig food it is very healthy!
Any pellet food that is made for guinea pigs is sutable but what you need to understand is that the pellet food is only a supplement. The primary diet of a guinea pig is fruits vegetables and hay/alfalfa. The guinea pig can not produce its own vitamin C so it needs veggies high in it. LOts of fresh veggies and fruits need to be given everyday along with the pellets. But I think you are on the right track.
