What are the differences in personalities between male and female rats?

Answers:
males will be larger and more laid back, they will also leave urine spots on you as their way of marking YOU as their property (if they love you)..they also have a stronger odor.
females are more hyper and active, they usualy stay thin and sleek, dont have the same musty smell males do, but wont be as cuddly, the would rather explore than *snuggle*
both males and females make excellent pets...if you want a buddy who will chase your hand around and never sit still, get a female
if you want a bug squishy snugglebum, get a male :)

males are more protective about there habitat and space
Males are more aggressive and move slower. Females are easilly agitated.
alls I know is that male rats have big a** ballz that hang down
Females tend to be more energetic and go get-ers. Males are mostly relaxed and cuddly. Of course, these change from each individual rat.
Both scent mark, and both are adventurous, all of them are fun!
i've noticed that males, especially as they get older, are lazier than females. i had a male (templeton) that would just sit in my lap for hours and be happy. the females i had (patty and selma) were very energetic, and ran around getting into everything. both were great pets.
I have had both male and female and I really can't say I ever noticed a significant difference.I do know that Male rats are used in certain training facilities because they aare considered smarter and easier to train...
i hate rats, cant stand them. i would kill them any day.
I have found that the males are much more social and love to be handled and cuddled. Females are more protective of thier "nests" and perfer not to be handled as much as the males. Over all both are ally good pets but the males will be more snuggle bunnies then the females will be
The females are very out going and they have great personalities where as the males are territorial and dominate a lot of things. plus the males pee all over you so much when they walk ! EWW GROSS !
Females do tend to be more adventurous and explore, while males are laid back. Its been quite a while since I've had a male though...
I prefer and have kept females for years due to the fact that they're less musky and I just don't like the sight of the testicals (LOL sad, I know).
I have had many pet rats both female and male and I would say girls are more energetic and aggressive, while male rats are more tame and social.
females are less aggressive and smell better, but males like to play more, but they can be territorial
