Weird Squirrel?

There's this squirrel that sometimes visited my front yard. There is something wrong with him. He has some sort of old wound on his back, its missing fur and stuff. And when it walks it falls over and it always has its head tilted to one side (the sides he falls over on). It looks sick. Is there some sort of disease that causes this?
Answers:
Call your local animal control. If it's rabies as has been suggested, they need to know, and it needs to be removed. Or it could be some sort of nerve damage - you said it has what looks to be an old wound - causing partial paralysis.
Either way, it needs to be captured and dealt with in a humane fashion.
Rabies, (animal control is your friend).
u should leave it alone for now until it really shows its sick best of luck
Rabies
West Nile virus. Call animal control for the squirrels sake. It is sick.
Better watch .. he might have rabies. Sounds like he needs to be put down. Call animal control and dont let your dog or kids around it.
Indeed, it could be rabies or just a fungal infection.
It depends, does the wound look like a bite mark?
Is it foaming at the mouth?
Animals rarely lose fur when they have rabies, so it's probably a bad infection and you should either get someone to catch and look at it, or leave it alone completely.
It could be rabies, but from your discription I do not think so because you have seen him several times and rabies will kill after 2-3 days. However, I strongly suggest you contact animal control just in case.
I don't know. he could have rabies but just in case call a animal rescue place and tell them that there is an injured squirrel and you were concerned that it may have been hurt. tell them what hes is doing. and they might be able to help.good luck
get your shotgun and kill it. it has Rabies!
It could be rabies, but squirrels rarely get rabies. It could simply be a deformity from birth. Alot of young are just now beginning to venture out on their own, from this years births!
Either way, I would notify your local wildlife offices so that they can come out and evaluate the situation!
